Korea: A surreal Illustrated Memoir

Korea: A Surreal Illustrated Memoir
Digital booklet, 2018

I made this illustrated booklet while living in Korea for four months. Not fluent in the language, I moved through the city in fragments. Overhearing, observing, guessing. The drawings became a way to bridge that gap: real scenes layered with imagination, like butterflies fluttering through a subway car. It wasn’t about accuracy, but about capturing the feeling of cultural immersion when you’re both inside and outside at once.
